
One of the most accomplished serial entrepreneurs in the out-of-home sector, Damian Cox has spent over 25 years identifying structural market gaps, building category-defining businesses, and scaling them to exit.
Cox began his career in outdoor advertising in 1999, founding E.K. Straas Ltd in 2001 and selling it to Clear Channel UK, before launching Ocean Outdoor in 2004 - quickly establishing it as the UK's market leader in premium digital OOH before exiting to Smedvig Capital in 2008. He founded Wildstone in 2010 on the conviction that landowners were significantly undermonetising their assets for outdoor advertising. Today, Damian drives the company's global vision and growth strategy - leading the charge on the digitisation of out-of-home infrastructure at scale.
Since pivoting to direct asset ownership in 2015, Wildstone now owns more than 5,700 sites across six countries. Highlights include a landmark £350 million infrastructure refinancing in 2024, expansion into Spain, Germany and Australia, and an £80 million deal in 2025 to acquire Transport for London's iconic digital billboard estate.
